Why fit?

During our R&D process for this High Downforce Boot Spoiler, we were very impressed by the effect that a properly CFD-designed rear lip can make to the Model 3’s already slippery shape.

This High Downforce version includes our High Efficiency Boot Spoiler with an attachable gurney flap. Using the latest in aero simulation and CAD technology, we engineered a spoiler that looks great, is simple to install (no drilling), doesn’t impede the rearward visibility of a driver, and most importantly, reduces overall drag!

The gurney flap’s shape, in combination with the base spoiler’s highly efficient shape, creates a dramatic improvement in performance. After installation of the gurney, increases of 160.9% in rear downforce are seen, representing an improvement of 464% over the OEM spoiler available on the Performance trim level. In addition to the dramatic increases in downforce, the design actually reduces Model 3’s total vehicle drag by 0.1% versus a vehicle equipped without the OEM Performance rear spoiler.

And for once, you can choose style as well as substance. The stunning carbon fibre weave is on full display under your choice of gloss or satin clearcoat.

Of course, we know that this isn’t the cheapest Model 3 rear spoiler on the market. But when you consider the substantive engineering and development that has gone into its development, plus the extremely high quality materials used to look good and keep it looking good, we think it represents great value!

Product Features

Installation of both the rear spoiler, as well as a the gurney flap are via ultra-strong automotive-grade 3M double-sided tape for easy installation and removal, with no modification to the vehicle necessary

You can vinyl wrap or paint the boot spoiler if you prefer a solid colour and not a carbon fibre finish (although we just love the visible carbon weave!)

You can of course use a Tesla certified bodyshop to install. However we have designed this (and all of our exterior parts) to be able to be installed with basic tools by any professional bodyshop, or a competent home mechanic. There is no specific Tesla tooling or knowledge required to install. The only requirement for install is the ability to follow instructions thoroughly.

We have designed the spoiler to install/remove using factory methods so that it can be installed and removed with no trace – particularly important if your car is on lease. There is zero cutting, drilling or modifying the car to install/remove.

• Aerodynamic benefits occur at high speeds. Around town aerodynamic impact is minimal but at speeds over 70mph, the benefit begins to increase and become noticeable. Our High-Downforce spoilers decrease drag and increase rear downforce by cleaning up airflow that reduces aerodynamic inefficiencies that create rear lift and drag.

• This is a premium dry carbon production item made in an autoclave using prepreg carbon fibre with high-grade epoxy resin. It is finished in a UV resistant clear coat paint to provide increased longevity. Not all carbon fibre is equal and ours cut no corners in materials, production process, or UV clear coat finishing. No polyester resin, no fiberglass, and no gel coat is used.

• There is a subtle Unplugged U Logo embossed on the underside of the spoiler.

No, we don't provide a fitting service. All Unplugged Performance parts are designed and manufactured in a way that any competent professional can install our parts on your Tesla - just the same as on any ICE car.

We do our best to hold as much inventory here in the UK as possible. But of course, sometimes products go out of stock.

How long will it take to get my orders?

It depends on where you are. Orders for the UK will be processed immediately and typically take 5-7 business days to arrive.

Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

However, if a product shows as being unavailable from UK stock, we will need to source from the Unplugged Performance USA team in California. In this case we will let you know the expected delivery times as soon as possible.

What about warranty?

We are entirely confident in our products, and offer a 12-month warranty against defects or design faults within fair use.

If your Tesla is still under manufacturers warranty, please be aware that fitting aftermarket parts may affect the Tesla terms and conditions - although only for those mechanical elements relating to the fitment of our products.
