The standard Model 3 & Model Y front lower suspension arms, fitted from factory with soft rubber bushings are notoriously prone to wear and often end up requiring replacement. Given the power, weight and grip of all Tesla Model 3 & Model Y, it’s little wonder that wear is accelerated so quickly as the car’s mileage increases.
The Unplugged Performance Front Lower Lateral Fore and Compliance Aft Control Arms are full OEM-spec control arm replacements that feature upgraded spherical bushings throughout, already mounted in the arms for easy and low-cost installation.Â
There’s a reason a better solution has not existed until now. The Unplugged Performance arms are extremely expensive to develop, requiring the production of precision cast moulds for the new arms themselves, and multiple new bushings to be preinstalled. After many years testing at the Nurburgring, at Pikes Peak and daily driven on the road, we’ve made the necessary investment to bring a comprehensive solution that is easy to install and has a revised approach to all bushings in the arms.
These meticulously engineered components are essential for anyone with worn bushings or for those looking for more precision out of their driving experience. The arms feature aircraft-grade spherical bushings (sealed ball joints) and high-quality rubber bushings pressed into OEM-quality aluminium arms to enhance precision where it matters most, whilst minimising vibrations and noise. These arms and bushings were developed for everyday road use yet are proven to withstand the intense conditions of extreme track use and even Pikes Peak Hill Climb in our race car.
So rather than simply replacing your arms with the same factory replacements, our ultra-strong Suspension Arm sets with uprated sealed spherical bearings (just as many high-end performance cars use) will ensure the premature wear problem never returns again.
Improve driving precision. Upgrading from the OEM rubber bushings to sealed spherical bushings provides laser-like precision in the steering and handling feel of the Model 3 & Y. These arms and spherical bushing eliminate any numb feeling in the steering. Worn bushings can result in sloppy-feeling steering and handling. Replace your worn out bushings. Tesla’s factory bushings use a soft rubber that we’ve found wear out in as little as 30,000-50,000 miles causing annoying knocking and creaking noises as well as slop and play in the steering. Excessive wear of the bushings can lead to unintended wheel movements with even the slightest forces, causing hazardous driving conditions and unpredictable handling. It can also result in excessive tyre wear. Our arms are meticulously crafted with cast aluminium cores and shaped through precision assembly to ensure a heightened driving experience.
We’ve simplified and upgraded the solution for you. Replacement options until now have typically been limited to a direct replacement with exactly the same hardware – ultimately resulting in the same outcome. Alternatively, some aftermarket solutions may address the replacement inner bushings, however that does not address the outer bushings or ball bushings. Additionally, pressing in bushings to the old arms can be a very expensive installation.Â
We offer a full arm replacement that replaces and upgrades every associated bushing, including the ball joints which must be inserted during the arm’s casting process. All this extra development is to give you a simplified and thoroughly engineered solution. Another benefit is that this arm can easily be installed in the comfort of your own garage or driveway if you choose. Alternatively, it requires significantly less labour hours for workshops to install, and thus less installation costs for you.

The Front Lower Lateral Fore Arms are located at the front lower suspension and connect the hub to the subframe while also being the lower anchoring point for the strut assembly. They incorporate 2 new spherical bushings or bearings and 1 new ball joint.
The Front Lower Compliance Aft Arms are located at the front lower suspension and connect the hub to the subframe at the most rearward position in the front suspension. They incorporate 1 new spherical bushing or bearing and 1 new spherical ball joint.

We have 3 different front Suspension Arm Upgrades available. In general we recommend that if one arm is worn, all three are likely to be close to needing replacement.
Note: A proper alignment is highly recommended after installing these arms and bushings
